Meredith Salenger

Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She loved performing for family and friends when she was an early child. When she was just eight years old she was taken by her mother to her very first acting class. Her first performance was in a minor role as an orphan singing and dancing for the feature film Annie directed by John Huston. Salenger did several television ads. Salenger played her first lead part on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann, an iconic Disney film starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. The film was the first US film to earn the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. The film was named "Best actor in drama" from the Youth in Film Awards, for her performance as the youthful Natty. After appearing in four other movies by the time she was 18 years old which included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood and went to Harvard to pursue her studies.
